The girls went to the opthalmologist today and they came back with mixed results. Alyssa's right eye is now 20/20; Lauren's eyes are just worse overall; and Sophia's eyes are getting better, but she still has to be patched. 👓 This all resulted in everyone needing new glasses. I remember when I was little, a pair of new glasses meant spending an average of $300 minimum. I'm so happy that there are online stores that are actually affordable! Today I bought 7 pairs of glasses for $320. That's insane!! I can't imagine ever getting glasses in-store again. 👓 #notsponsored@zennioptical •
I got new #glasses from @zennioptical today. I’m not 100% sure about them. They’re taller frames than I’m used to. I do however love how comfortable they are and how crystal clear the lenses are. My transitions lenses never feel totally clear anymore so things seem very crisp. Are they too much? #zennioptical
Okay. So. $6.95 frames. Lenses with my Rx added about $40 onto that. It's a fraction of the Luxe frames I have been wearing and love.
I wanted some variety and these are just okay. Second pair I ordered. First pair was returned for store credit only. Tried much harder this time around but wouldn't say I'm in love with them. Great choice for someone who's broke for sure, but no returning for a second time as they seem to get hard on picky folk after the first return. I will likely wear them on rare occasion but otherwise sticking to my 'main' set. Not sure some things should be ordered online.
Oh Zenni Optical...I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship! I paid $72 for all 3 pairs and they are prescription. They have prescription glasses for as little as $6.95 including the lenses! I think I’m in love! #zenni#zennioptical#zenniglasses#justgotmyzennis
I am in it for CHANGE!
See my whole life I grew up seeing a lot of violence. I have experienced things in my life that have forever changed me as a person.
But despite the pain, every single day those past experiences challenge me, they push me, they inspire me to change the WORLD. •
You see I don’t want a pat on the back for the daily tasks that I do, I don’t want recognition for getting things done, my entire life and every decision that I make is to fulfill my cause. •
Today I had a conversation with a family member, and it reminded me of that pain, it reminded me WHY I do what I do, and it fueled my anger to want to continue to challenge society and make room for CHANGE. •
Frankly I am tired, I am tired of being limited, and this may sound crazy, but I WILL find a way to fulfill my cause for CHANGE. •
