Terrible photos I know, but I'm looking forward to sharing some things I learnt this week at Waste Expo. It was uplifting to learn that everyone in the waste sector seems to be clear that a circular economy is the way forward and that some people think we are right now living through this revolution which is bigger than the industrial revolution! There is actually a lot of innovation occurring around 'waste' and the competition is driving more innovation. Plus companies that do not decouple economic growth from natural resource constraints face disastrous consequences very soon. There was agreement that people's purchasing decisions do make a difference! The problems that are slowing down a circular economy are people's attitudes and regulation. Changing these things will drive innovation. So I don't know about you but this info spurs me on and reassures me that my energy is focused in the right areas.
