This post was/is inspired by my recen trip to a local hoopty dealer! The car in question was one of these! A Mercedes 190e!
I had never seen one of these before, and I really liked it! The car was small, but had the prescense and proportions of a large one. Reall these are not big. But they feel huge.
The car was locked, so I couldn't sit in it, but the interior looked amazing. Much different in person. Steering wheel was the perfect size. I could totally see myself in one of these. I may even like it better than the w126 I saw! Now I just need to find an E-Class.
The one I looked at was brown with a bordeaux coachline and a matching bordeaux interior. 66k miles and ONE OWNER. Crazy. Near immaculate. My only complaint was I felt like my ritzy ass could be stabbed at any moment by a hood rat, asnd that the back seats looked a little cramped. Other than that I loved it!.......and then quickly left.
This particular one is the "sporty" 2.3 model, and has 84k miles. It is also slightly newer. And has a disgusting aftermarket stereo. Listed for....unknown! Beings this is at a BHPH, the car is prob like $1000 at 750% interest for 24 months. I'll be paying cash, thanks...... For those that don't know, the 190e (aka the "baby benz") was the predecessor to the modern day C-Class. I love the C-Class. They are small, sporty, fun as hell, and pretty nice too. A great all around commuter car. I'd recommend a cpo one though, because new ones are dumb and overpriced (imagine that....😒) What the heck kinda people buy a C-Class? I'm curious. They are small, not THAT nice, sporty but not sporting, can't haul much, and are somewhat pricey for duch a small vehicle. So basically you are buying a fuel efficient runabout? I like em for the previously stated reasons, but why do other people like em? Do you guys like em?
