In the late summer of 2015 I returned to Morocco with my firend Marc. We had first discovered Morocco together five years prior. We sat out once more to explore; ourselfs and the land beyond. Here somewhere in the magnificent Rif mountains.
Years laters as I came across the image I reminded me of a passage from a book I had just read: “I know.” She sighed. “We’ll all say that. We’ll all go on and make the place safe. Roads, cities. New sky, new soil. Until it’s all [...] gone and we’ll be here, and we’ll wonder why we feel so empty. Why when we look at the land we can never see anything but our own faces.” ― Kim Stanley Robinson, Red Mars
