Pasteis de Nata ❤
Do you consider yourself more of a cook or a baker?
I see myself mainly as a cook. In fact I do not enjoy baking that much. As I hardly ever follow a recipe cooking is more my thing. Trial and error is my forte and fixing things in the process is all the fun to me. I cook with my taste buds and my gut feeling. On the other hand baking is just chemistry to me (and I almost didn't pass chemistry in high school). You have one shot and if it doesn't work there is no way to fix it. It's following a formula. For me it's more brain and less gut - I can't rely on my intuition at all. Yet I find myself baking a lot lately. Maybe it's the season. Anyway what do you think? Cooking vs. Baking? Gut vs. Brain? Is it the same for you? Is it the other way around? Maybe even completely different?
