Before and after shots of yesterday's arbor draping. We had just the right amount of wind and light to use the fabric from the arbor for Mattea's portraits. So much fun... :) Settings for my fellow photo-dorks: Aperture priority, ev - 1/2500 @ f2.8, focal length - 22mm, ISO 800, WB - auto. Available light. Super important to meter on the areas with the highest contrast to get the correct exposure and a sharp focus if your settings are auto. In this case I was metering on Mattea's profile.
I shot this in bursts of three frames and bracketed the exposure for each frame. I also timed the shots with the shape of the fabric. In post I just did a little additional color grading. This was the first time I've used the draping from a wedding arch as a prop - it's super fun if you have light weight material that is slightly translucent to catch the colors and reflections as well as a light wind at sunset. Have fun gang!
