You and Sean were cuddled up together on his couch, his arm wrapped around your shoulder as you both watched nightmare before Christmas. This personally was Sean's favorite movie, just everything about it made him laugh and smile with joy. He leaned down to kiss your forehead, his kiss warm and comforting. You smiled at him and snuggled into his warmth. As the movie continued, you glanced up at Sean, who was struggling to keep his tiring eyes open. You giggled and leaned back, enjoying the embrace he had you in. Your smile soon faded as the warmth from Sean's body, his touch ice cold. You quickly looked back at him, his eyes were shut closed, his face a deathly pale, his chest never moving as he just sat there. You felt tears go down your face as you jumped up from the couch to the kitchen, quickly pulling out your phone as you called 911. "h-hello? Oh god please I think my boyfriend is dead!" You continued to yell into the phone, tears flowing down your face as you tried to keep yourself together. "ma'am/sir are you sure he's dead?" The operator asked, "of course he's fucking de-... Ima have to call you back..." You hung up, your eyes wide as you realized Sean's body was gone. You slowly strolled back into the living room, trying to understand what the hell was going on. You jumped as you heard a door slam, foot steps echoing down the hall as it made its way towards you. Youslowly backed up, making yourself slip back into the couch. Of course. Why didn't I think of it? This is such an Anti thing to do. You turned your head towards him and glared. "what's with the death glare, sweetheart?" he asked, sarcasm obviously laced in his voice.

Welcome to Day 5 of the 7 Day #makeachange challenge!
Today's change? Turn "I'm sorry' into "Thank you"
Within an hour, I interacted with 6 people - 3 of whom said "I'm sorry" at least once: 1 apologized for me waiting my turn, then later for pinching my skin (even though it's part of the fit test); 1 for having a brain fart; & the last 1 because I stepped out of his way as he was running.
What if they said "thanks for your patience" or "thank you for giving me space" - how would that have changed the perception of the interaction for both of us?
Try it out & let me know how it goes! Use the hashtag #makeachange and tag me in your posts!
