HELLO #cleveland 👋 we are SO excited to announce @mary.spindler who will be teaching at #CYPC when we open our doors early November!! Mary took her first yoga class in 2001, and in 2013 made the transition from student to teacher 📚🤸🏻♀️ However, as anyone who practices yoga knows, regardless of time spent, number of classes taken, or certifications earned, we are all forever students of this mysterious and beautiful tradition. Yoga has become a huge part of her life and she loves sharing her passion with others ✨💓 Small victories on the mat lead us to be more daring and confident off the mat (YES!!) Releasing judgement and shame through yoga can lead us to a more authentic view of our world 🌍 The classes she teaches are about breath and strong movement, but they are also about connecting the two. She works with students to connect their bodies with their breath and see what can happen. She would like for them to be able to be present and in each moment 🌞 She works to create a space for students to find joy and strength, and a sense of belonging. This desire is what ultimately led her to Citizen Yoga and she is so excited to be a part of building this community 💞

Spoiler alert... this marriage wasn’t meant to be, and came to a quick end less than a year after our vows were exchanged. And that’s okay. As deeply painful and traumatic as this was for me to accept and heal, I know it set my life (and hers) on course to receive the most profound lessons and experiences this blessed existence has to offer us. To anyone out there working through a #divorce — know you are not alone, never truly abandoned, and have nothing to feel ashamed about. CYCLE SHIFT... last weekend’s Midwest tour felt in a large way like the closure of our #Shanti’sShadow Tour Cycle. Grateful to @brotherroymusic@domles@samreidermusic@jared_of_the_subway@davesperanza@squirrellybeats for hitting the road with me for such a long stretch over the past two years. We are all looking forward to what is to come. It feels important to mark each cycle of closure and new beginnings as we ebb and flow through our musical journeys. Like the changing seasons, these seasons of musical shifts allow us to grow, transform and evolve as individuals and as a collective. Deep bow of gratitude for all that has transpired in the past few years! Onward!

Respiración de un minuto.
Inhalo inflando el abdomen como un globo durante 20 seg.
Retengo 20 seg.
Exhalo hundiendo el ombligo por 20 seg gradualmente.
Esta respiración me permite tomar consiencia del momento presente.
Me da calma mental y física.
Me quita del estado negativo en el que este,sea tristeza o enojo.
Para poder transformarlo en algo positivo y productivo.
Si no llegamos a contar los 20 seg.
Simplemente respira inflando el abdomen.
Ya con eso estarías ingresando a la consciencia respiratoria.
Ante cualquier situación que te genere estrés (no tiene porque ser una situación negativa también es algo positivo lo que genera estrés, SI hay que saber controlarlo) para estas situaciones es importante respirar.
