GBOMBS, part 1
Greens 🥗 How many of you grew up with your parents nagging on you to eat more greens? As much as we resisted and probably still resist a bit today, they were on to something! 🥗Raw leafy greens contain only about 100 calories per pound, and are packed with nutrients. Leafy greens contain substances that protect blood vessels, and are associated with reduced risk of diabetes 🥗Greens are an excellent tool for weight loss as they can be consumed in virtually unlimited quantities.
🥗Leafy greens are also the most nutrient-dense of all foods, but, unfortunately are only consumed in minuscule amounts in a typical American diet. 🥗Greens are rich in fiber, iron, magnesium, potassium and calcium. Furthermore, greens have very little carbohydrates, sodium and cholesterol. The dark greens supply a significant amount of folate - a type of B vitamin that promotes heart health and helps prevent certain birth defects.
🥗Eating greens does not have to be hard. Don't worry about making a fancy dish.
Throw them in a smoothie
Sauteed them with garlic, olive oil and other veggies/protein of choice
Bake them into an egg bake or lasagna ❗️❗️Challenge❗️❗️
I challenge you to eat greens every day for the next 7 days 🥗
