So this happened yesterday and the irony of where the end of this rainbow falls was not lost on me. For non Ontarian’s, the LCBO is where we buy all our liquor.
True story though fam. My husband is red/green colour blind. He found out when he was in kindergarten and kept getting in trouble for colouring the sky purple. Being his designated tie and shirt picker outer is just something I’m used to now. And also making sure he doesn’t wear his Friday shoes on a Monday because then there’s a good chance his socks won’t match and it would just mess up the whole system we have in place and OMG being colour blind is exhausting. I’m officially off clothing-helper duty on the weekends though because his weekend style is whatever free t-shirt came in his case of beer.
Every once in a while it's downright comedy gold when he can't see colours properly. I mean he once posted a photo on Facebook of a bunch of trees and captioned it the beautiful colours of fall. Except there was no other colour but green. I died laughing at him. Like I was seriously deceased and I didn't even apologize.
The other day though he found an app that adjusts the colours on the PC for his type of colour blindness and he saw what a rainbow looks like for the first time in his life. I swear to god in all my 26 years hanging out with this man I don't think I have ever seen his jaw drop in complete in utter awe like it did when he saw that rainbow. His mind was literally blown and it was kind of magical AF to witness really.
In the past I used to look at rainy days as a good excuse not to walk...even if the clouds were a little grey I could convince myself that it was ok to skip. At the moment I am loving the start each day...so out I went in between showers. I did tell DH which track I was taking in case I needed rescuing, but I made it just in time 🤗🌧. We have had about 5mm overnight, fingers crossed it stays all day 🤞🤞🤞. Enjoy your Wednesday 💚 #rain#clouds#droplets#australia#landscape#iphone#morningwalk#countryroads
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin', singin' in the rain
