Usually just Greek yoghurt with honey or compote, but tonight I decided to do something just as easy but a little more special: Chocolate Greek yoghurt made with raw cacao powder and a hint of maple syrup and physalis. I have been in love with this plant since I was a child, enjoying the sight of its beautiful flowers used as a popular decoration at that time. Back when I didn’t have a clue this plant has edible berries with quite unique and delicate taste.
Being a tomato close relative, Physalis peruviana, aka Goldenberry is a great source of vitamins A, C and fibre and can complement a variety of dishes with its refreshing texture and flavour.
I used it in my lunch salad today, combining it with green mix, red bell pepper, red onion and feta cheese (opted for a lower sodium one), and topping with hemp seeds and blue cheese.
