Quick update from sunny California! So as promised I am reviewing my progress with some new skincare ranges I have been using... to start I want to discuss the Avène products as I had very high expectations of this brand
Beginning with the gentle milk cleanser, this is a brilliant product for people with very dry and sensitive skin. It pretty much does what it says on the label and is kind to your face. The only thing I would say about this product is that it takes a few applications to take all of your make up off. I don’t think I wear a tonne of makeup however it still takes me a while. So,I would suggest maybe using a pre-cleanser such as micellar water before this product. Also i wouldn’t recommend it for those of you that have normal to oily skin as it is deeply hydrating and could leave you with an even shinier face! It is however perfect for someone like me with very dry skin
The soothing moisture mask I have only used twice however I really like it’s no fuss application and the way it sinks into the skin. You only need to use this possibly twice a week max. Again it is perfect for those of you with sensitive skin and it really hydrates tired and dry faces. Very easy to use and you don’t even need to wash it off, just wipe of any excess with cotton wool
Lastly is the Avène thermal spring water spray. This was my least favourite of the three however I still think it’s a handy piece of skincare to own. It’s basically hydration in a spray can and can be used whenever thought the day. Just spray the mist onto your face and it instantly revives your skin and hydrates it. Perfect for when I’m flying. However I dont find that I use it that often as I find the cleanser etc sets me up for the day.
All of the products are great for sensitive dry skin and have a very subtle calming scent that’s not too overpowering. I have found that by using these, especially the cleanser once in the morning and just before bed that my skin has started to look fresher and brighter. Would definitely recommend these products !
