A throwback to summer while I’m waiting on some more impressive foliage. This was one of those rare photographs for which everything came together so very unexpectedly. I noticed the exquisite morning light on this barn while driving by and knew immediately that I had to turn around. After working a couple compositions, I was peering through my viewfinder and when the farmhands working just outside of the frame began going on break, casually moving single-file through the scene along just the right path with just the right spacing. I couldn’t have directed it all to come together so well even if I tried.
