Here is a very traditional Thai afternoon snack called “Khao Tung Na Tung” ข้าวตัวหน้าตั้ง. It’s the Thai rice crispy crackers called “Khao Tung” with the coconut milk base, with minced pork, shrimp, tamarind , palm sugar and peanut dip. The dip mixture is called “Na Tung”. This is one of my favourite childhood snack that me and my sister used to flight for the last one😋. In the old traditional way we use leftover rice, sun-dried and then deep fry. Here in uk we dont have enough sun to do that so I rolled the cooked rice in the zip lock bag until thin, then leave it in the very low heat oven for 30 min and then dry them outside for a few days until completely dry and deep fry. Definitely this childhood favourite snack worth all the effort 😋. Happy Sunday everyone 🍂 !
