Raise your hand if you’ve ever been intimidated in the gym 🙌🏽 it’s a scary place, especially when first starting out. Here are Some quick gym tips for beginners (or even advanced lifters) to help you make the most out of your gym session.
📍 Wear a hat : I lift heavier and work harder when people can’t see my really attractive lifting face. Totally gives me a ton of confidence.
📍 listen to your lifting playlist on the way to the gym : I’m usually dancing so hard I can’t wait to go inside and get MOVING! Totally puts me in the mood to work hard.
📍 Cute gym outfits : I don’t do my hair and I don’t wear makeup to the gym, so that leaves very little to work with when it comes to looking put together. Invest in clothing items that get you excited to go the gym! Makes all the difference.
📍 Plan your workout : having something in mind before you go to the gym (especially for beginners) is vital. It gives your workout structure and you usually will lift longer and harder when you have a plan. I use an app called fitlist to create and save my workouts, it works great!
📍most importantly find what you actually enjoy doing! Consistency is the most important thing and the more you enjoy what you’re doing, the easier it will be to sustain.
