Last night we went down @somacafebar located on Sunderland street for a meal for our date night, I've never been here before and I don't know why it's taken us so long to go and try it!!!! They've been open for 3 years haha
When first walking in you get a real good homely feel to the place, the dimmed lights make it nice and Cosy which, I, personally love when going for a meal.....sets the mood ;) haha.
The owners Sophie and Neil were awesome greeting us with a glass of fizz to celebrate their birthday when we walked through the door and showing us to our seats, what we did notice whilst sat down is their gin selection!!!! If you like gin then you're gonna love this place even if you're not going to try their amazing food :). So, this is what we had *Char Sui pork belly, bossam style which was with a radish pickle, kimchi and teriyaki. *Tandoori king prawns, korma cream and tempura samphire. *Cajun spiced halloumi tacos, spiced yogurt with a mango, mint & chilli salsa *Side of parmesan truffle fries
And I got the try their blackened hanger steak with sautèed mushrooms and truffle butter.....next time I'm 100% trying this because what I tried just melted in my mouth!! Cannot wait to get back here to try more of their food! Bravo guys and hope you had an awesome birthday :) @somacafebar@somacafebar@somacafebar
