Just like any other keto-er, reading nutritional labels at the grocer's has become one of my fave past-times 🙈 And so I was pleasantly surprised to come across this @ayambrandmy sardine which comes with a pretty decent ingredients list: wild-caught sardine, extra virgin olive oil, and salt!
Now, I'm not suggesting that we drop everything and load up on processed foods all day err day BUT I know not all of us have the luxury to cook our own food at home all the time. And for those times when you're in a pinch, I think having an option like this is pretty helpful 😊

Chicken in a creamy mustardy sauce with leeks and green beans. Kid #4 wants to learn to cook and @hellofreshuk has been AMAZING for all of us but have to adapt a bit for keto so cauliflower replaces potato mash. 🎉🎊
New hair update.. it was time for a change. The ends were fried and it was time to cover up the remnants of the old color. The last two pictures are before and the other ones show the new Burgundy Brown and the new short hair. I miss my long hair but it is much healthier now. Pardon the messy mirror (yay kids) but that one is for accountability. I am still struggling to lose this extra 25 pounds since the accident and I am almost back under 200 pounds. It is moving at a snail's pace. I am still struggling to get my hormones back in balance and get back to my normal rhythm. I'm also working on being more active as much as my back allows for now. Since we lost out insurance I have to be extra careful with all if the back issues from the accident. I still feel like a mess most days but I am slowly getting out of this funk. Baking goodies for my sister as she has started keto and is being really good. She’s not ready to start baking yet so I thought I’d show her how delicious the substitutes can be. Chocolate cupcakes and keto bread rolls. Yum!
First of all, I weighed myself at my sisters today and I’m not 100% convinced that her scale isn’t broken, because I’ve never lost this much in a week. Not putting this post out there to tempt anyone, but to share that I’m in work meetings this week and there’s no keto friendly food (today I picked the cheese and pepperoni off 🍕pizza slices to stay as keto as possible). There hasn’t been a moment today where I HAVEN’T wanted to eat all the bad junk food, and even though it’s easier for me to say no, it makes me realize that more than likely, I will always have strong feelings towards junk...and that’s ok. It’s being able to control myself that I’m most proud of ❤️ #ketoprogress
Preliminary results of my @whole30. I’m going to write a comprehensive blog post about my entire experience but here’s the short version of it. I have clearly lost weight. I can see it in my face and many people have made comments. The first set of pictures is me on day one, day 15, and today day 30. The scale, oddly enough, is not currently reflecting that. But as a woman with PCOS, my weight can literally fluctuate up to 10 pounds within a few days. So I’m going to give it a few days and try again. I retain ALOT of water weight right before my period, and we’re about there. So I’m not letting the scale discourage me when the proof is in the pudding (or lack thereof 😂). Also second set of pictures I have no makeup on 😱. But look at the difference in my skin from cleaning up my diet! Pictures are day one and today day 30. I am ecstatic about this to say the least. I have gained so much knowledge from this experience and will share it all in a blog post probably after I complete my reintroduction BUT if you are thinking about doing a whole30, all I can say is just do it. Just jump in and do it.
