Hot & Sour Shrimp Soup AKA Thom Yum Goong "ต้มยำกุ้ง"
I remember watching my mom make this when I was young! She knew how much I loved this soup! I think it made me a soup lover! And since the temperatures are dropping & everyone is getting some kinda bug, I thought I'd make this cold & flu fighting powerful soup!
There's an awesome balance of flavors, ingredients, and textures all in a single bowl. It is literally a symphony of sour, spicy, and perfectly creamy (from the shrimp) flavors going on in this soup! It has one of the best tastes ever!
For me, it's The HANDS DOWN BEST soup ever! When it's made correctly! 😉 This soup is spicy, sour, savory and addictive! Oh, so addicting!😜 This is one of the main signature dishes that defines Thai flavor! It has an infusion of kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and galangal, adding shrimp, chilies and lime juice at the end....there are also tons of health benefits in here! One that is a "potentially revolutionary cancer-fighting agent", to be exact, but I'll go over all of the ingredients another time!
