(Capt Holt voice) Halla-weeeennn!
This brought me joy. Been loving @christinehmcconnell's curious creations but with my small kitchen and even smaller baking skills I am excited about a simple spooky zombie brain jelly mould! So much cheaper in my local supermarket than I'd seen online, delighted! #brains#zombie#jellymould#halloweenfood
Now that it's autumn, I can't stop eating. And eating. And snacking (and sneaking the snacking) and thinking about eating when I'm not eating. These dropping temperatures have awakened the cooking monster who can't stop (won't stop) making all the things. This would all be fine if it weren't for my freezer that looks at me fearfully when I come nearfully. You see, I seem to be cooking too much. It's autumn and I want pots full and bowls full and tables full and all the fulls. Why make one when I could make ten? Soups and stews and braises and bakes? Yes. Ten please. And that's why my freezer is fearful: it wants no more of these batches that have to fit in. But it's autumn and I can't stop with the cooking (and eating and snacking and sneaking the snacking) and it's the most wonderfood time of the year. Yes. And so it goes, this autumn, this most wonderful time of plenty (incidentally, my most favourite number). 'Tis the season for a return to the old timeworn cookbooks and for pulling out all the obsolete kitchen tools. Because 'tis the season to be cooking. Fa la la fall. Yes. 🍽. .
