Finally checked out Isobel Lake! Easy packed trail along the lake. Also wheelchair accessible! I love how some trails are now wheelchair accessible. Everyone should be able to enjoy it! Most of the times I think of how much my Lolo (grandpa) would have LOVED to make memories with his apos (grandkids) in these places because he loved exploring and hiking too!
Great walk at Isobel Lake this morning. Quite a few downed trees both by wind and beavers. Love the crack in the one tree that is currently supporting two downed trees. Just a lovely morning. #isobellake#kamloops
“Find joy by walking in gratitude”
Today we took a wet, one hour hike around a nearby lake. Half of us had water proof jackets and the rest of us tried to look “picture worthy”. At the end of the day it didn’t matter who wore the right jacket or brought the right shoes. It didn’t even matter that we were pretty wet and started to get cold! We stopped for some hot chocolate along the way and I just remembered thinking how it was more important to me that I saw the smiles on my kids faces.
We did this hike with close family friends and we kept to the trails and our conversation switched to talking about what we have and what we need. We really don’t need much. Things don’t make us happy. Their value is only temporary. What we need is to walk in gratitude and learn to look at what we already have with fresh eyes. 🖤
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! .
day trip to Isobel Lake🍂 it’s the time of year when every sunny day counts and we wanted to get out in the mountains where it will soon be off limits to our little car. this is such a sweet little lake, gorgeous under the colours of fall.
We were itching to get out of the valley this weekend, so we headed out towards Kamloops.
Isobel Lake is an absolutely beautiful place. The serene water and easy walking trail were worth braving the long dirt road up into the hills.
Wow! The kids and I biked around peaceful and serene Isobel Lake, outside of Kamloops. The drive itself through the Lac du Bois Grasslands was worth the trip! Be sure to add this very accessible and family friendly hike to your fall plans! More details can be found on the @hikekamloops site! #isobellake#hikekamloops#exploreBC
