I’m not a huge self-help book fan but what made me curious to read this book is it’s interesting title “Finding your G-spot in life", written by Geetika Saigal.@gstorytime
The book is all about uncovering the medium of leading a happy and meaningful life. Most of us today are running towards a ‘happy’ life. As if it’s only the goal in life. But what about leading a ‘meaningful life’. Things we do for pleasure and enjoyment gives us temporary happiness but doing meaningful things which gives soul satisfaction are a immense source of happiness which lasts long. The book help reader to find that sweet spot in life which is a combination of happy and meaningful life OR to balance the two perfectly.
The book is divided into four parts and as you start reading the book it takes you on the journey of rediscovering yourself. The book questions about various aspects of your life and personality. The DIFY’s in the book help you to interact with yourself.
Personal experiences shared by the author gives the book a personal touch. It definitely gets you thinking about your life. No it isn’t a guide to lead a successful life but a friend to help you find yourself.
With each chapter, I found myself reading regarding things that I most positively have been in – and most folks have most likely been in them. The author takes common themes like passion, productivity, dreams, unhealthy habits and uses DIY activities, her own examples and general recommendation to inspire the reader to create the simplest of them.
Finding Your G-Spot In Life is a quick read, and it actually won’t bore. The title of the book is very quirky but it fits perfectly with the content and the theme of the book. From the beginning till end, you’ll find yourself thinking, relating and understanding. No life changer but if you’re looking to start somewhere, this is it. Pick it up for a quick little motivation party!🌠🌠😇
I got the book by @thebookoholics in exchange for an honest review.
I am resuming my reading habits. I used to be such a bookworm but the uni life has restricted me with reading solely textbooks 📚. But my love for books extends to various genres beyond academic too! There is simply not much time to read, so I decided to bring a book along to the commutes from now on. And somehow, today as I walked with a book on my hand, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. Or like I was reconnecting with the old me. The old me had so many flaws, but was so much happier. ✨
Oh, and I’m reading “The Humans” by Matt Haig. I know it’s an old book but it’s been on my reading pile for a while now. I love it so far, it’s hilarious! To those who have read this, don’t you feel like Jim Parson is narrating it in your head? 😂 -
