Current addiction: homemade pumpkin spice latte.
I may get in big trouble asking here...but anyone else think we are a little over the top when it comes to pumpkin spice? I mean, PS Cheerios? Oreos? Eeek.
I ordered a PSL recently - as a way to get into the spirit of the season. Holy sugary, syrupy mess. My teeth hurt thinking about it.
But I still like the idea of PSL so I wondered if I could recreate it. And I did! At least I think this is an awesome alternative.
The best part? My alternative has 15 calories, 1 gram fat and 4 grams sugar. I don’t want to ruin it for you PSL lovers out there, but let’s just say that this version has about 46 fewer grams of sugar! Like, whoa!
Pumpkin Spice Latte
Strongly brewed coffee (about 12 ounces)
1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tsp brown sugar
1/4 pumpkin pie spice
Place milk, sugar and spice in glass measuring cup and microwave for 40 seconds. Use milk frother to froth milk and add to coffee. Yum!
