FOOD SPOTLIGHT: really a pleasure to share some OG taiwanese bangers on this platform! These ones from a night market (can't remember which exact one but you can find it all around!) with my family 👪 🇹🇼.
First we have braised large intestine misua (brown vermicelli cooked untill softttttt). As always, it's great to see different parts of the animal used in different ways expressing their own unique flavour and texture profiles (small and large intestine taste slightly different!), I remember having to be bribed into trying offal as a kid haha 💵🍜. 3rd pic is Ba Wan, a large translucent dumpling made of rice and sweet potato flour filled with meat braised and served in a broth. It was a very wholesome experience listening to my mum not stop talking about how much this took her straight down memory lane.
