Today was the last day of bird banding of the season. I will miss watching the sunrise at Barr Lake State Park, and the opportunity to go birding at this wonderful park. While I cannot wait for the spring banding season, I will enjoy sleeping in on Sunday mornings. Here are a few favorite birds and photos from this fall season. In order of appearance: Red-Eyed Vireo, Ovenbird, Marsh Wren, Wilson's Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Field Sparrow, Western Wood-Pewee, Brown Thrasher and Baird's Sandpiper.
