By far the most predominant bird I saw in Arizona was the Common Raven. They are everywhere and hard to miss due to their size. They seem to be used to people at the Grand Canyon. Corvids are such an incredibly smart family of birds. I adore them! Raven and Crows often get confused with each other. Ravens have a much larger bill, throat feathers and a wedge shaped tail in flight. Fun fact: Did you know Ravens can fly upside down? Young Ravens will play with sticks, dropping and catching them in mid air.
