What is it about getting older that makes us tune in a little more closely to health and wellness? I think 2 things are:
1 - We are aging and all of the sudden realize that what we put in and on our body are effecting things like complexion (and the simple fact that my brain hasn't faced that word in a while and I had to Google the correct spelling🤦🏽♀️), fatigue, insomnia, anxiety and depression, etc. And
2 - It's hitting very much too close to home (for friends and family, and even ourselves) to be facing severe attacks on our health like cancer (😡), infertility, auto-immune diseases, etc.
What we put in and on our bodies is important. Just as a breast feeding Momma would especially want to stay away from toxic deodorant that releases aluminum into her skin and into her milk supply, chemicals we put elsewhere on our bodies (especially over time) can add real traces of toxicity in our chemical make-up and bloodstream.
I'm not a professional, not even close. But it's not hard to think about how these things are all connected and realize that we have to fight to make the better choices.
I'm so glad that someone took the time to share with me how these things are effecting me and that there are people and organizations out there truly fighting for us and we don't even know it. ***A law requiring that companies must be transparent with all ingredients that are in their products hasn't been passed since 1938.*** We are advocating for transparency in our products, while providing an option for products that are safe for you!
