Yesterday’s thunderstorm knocked out the power at the museum causing all but the emergency lights to go out.
With nothing but small downlights and the soft natural light come from outside, it led to some pretty dramatic lighting.
Luckily I decided to take my camera with me to work. I came out with this shot of one of my fellow chefs looking out through the pass.
Didn’t need to edit this image too much in terms of lighting. Just crushed the blacks a little and added some gradial filters to direct the eye. I did also get rid of the super bright reflection of the lights on the wall and the power cable of the docket machine as I felt they were quite distracting.
Tell me what you think, does the original photo give the moody feel on its own or does the edit enhance the feeling more? Drop your feedback in the comments.
