How many people begin the new year by joining a gym, with the best intentions of course? 🤔
How often do you regret committing to the gym for 6-12 mths as you struggle to get there 3 times a week? 🤔
When you do finally get to a gym, do you have any idea what equipment you should be using to achieve your goals? 🤔
How often are you wasting time waiting for that "particular" equipment? 🤔
I used to be a gym member for years, I paid £39 per month to access the swimming pool, steam room and sauna . I sure made use of the latter two. ☺️
I would go and look around at whose in 1st, I would feel intimidated by the big strong men lifting heavy weights and stay away from them. I would use the equipment I found free, and easy to use. ( I had the initial tour, but ages ago.) The minute I was breathing heavily I would stop, silly move now I realise. 😝
I would make sure I spent an hour in the gym, including my sauna time, to get my moneys worth. I would be mindful of how I looked running, or what I wore. Back then I had no knowledge of what workouts, I should do and how much of each food group I should be eating to achieve my goals.
I am well aware there are many people ( ie my husband and cousins) who do know what they are doing in a gym. What equipment they should be using and what the should be eating to achieve their goals. Thats great. 🤩
I'm reaching out to the people that don't know. Don't join a gym because its sounds great. Be realistic,
Can you SPARE the time including travelling time 3-4 times a week? Regardless of the weather.
Would you be happy pushing yourself alone, regardless of who is around you?
If in doubt come and try a home workout programme, where the guess work is taken out as experts design the programmes along with the nutrition plan which you get hand in hand. You just press play and do the workout. 30 mins a day, over 21 days and you could lose 5-10lbs.
