Looking forward to the launch of the new Albukhary Foundation Gallery of Islamic Arts at the British Museum tonight. The wonderful Alia Alzougbi was invited to curate the launch weekend, so check out her Curators Route on the website at www.amal.org.uk ✨
Serenity in the serial. #AsymmetricalSymmetry,#LandonMetz’s inaguaral show at #SeanKelly, features site-responsive paintings displayed in a repetitive, serial manner that span across (both horizontally and vertically - not pictured) the entire main gallery space. While he controls the color (he creates custom dyes), the way the paint ends up interacting with the fibers unprimed canvas and drying is essentially left to chance, resulting in biomorphic forms of unique depth and dimension. Closing tomorrow. #contemporaryart#NYC
