✱This is a chemical exfoliant. While AHA’s brighten the skin and reduce fine lines by continuous use, BHA’s clear pores and fight blemishes. I have read that with this product the pH is too high for the BHA to work properly. There’ll still be a tiny amount that works, but not the promised 2%. The pH of the product works great for the AHA (glycolic acid), there may be 30% AHA in the product, but the realistically working acid ranges anywhere 15-18%
✱NOTE: be careful if you have ANY small tiny it’s bitsy cuts on your face, because this is acid and it burns, and it is VERY unpleasant. Also, don’t get it in your eyes... it’s acid!
When using any acid or peel it is essential to USE SUNSCREEN. Preferably physical and NOT chemical.
✱Personally I would not recommend something so high in acid content for a beginner or someone who is new to acids! Perhaps you just might burn your face off, and we don’t want that to happen!
I’ve built up my tolerance high enough to go the full ten minutes but THAT IS IT! Do what it says, and just don’t go over!
✱Results: Contrary to a lot of reviews out there my face loved this! My skin felt soft and radiant right after. I made sure to go in right after and hydrate because acids can be very harsh and drying on the skin. I did have a bit of frosting but it honestly was to be expected (if you’re familiar with acids and peels) and it didn’t bother me enough to decide not to use this product again.
✱Another tip when using this acids and/or peels is you may want to double cleanse when using it as I did because I still felt some tingling when just rinsing with water! Although water is a ph of 7 which neutralizes, I still wanted to be safe ... than sorry!
