It’s Eczema Awareness Month.
Eczema is a term for a group of medical conditions that cause the skin to become inflamed or irritated. Skin with Eczema is almost always itchy. Rash sometimes accompanies it. It occurs on the face, back of the knees, wrists, hands or feet. Skin may turn brown. Most people outgrow their condition by their tenth birthday. The exact cause is unknown, but it is linked to an overactive response of the body to an irritant. You can control flare-ups by moisturizing frequently and avoiding harsh soaps and detergents.
