What’s the best part of eating at a Mexican restaurant? The free chips and salsa! 😋 I mean, I always had to pace myself and refrain from eating them until I was so stuffed that I couldn’t take a bite of the food I had ordered. 🙈😂 Please, tell me I’m not alone. 😅
Well, now I make the salsa at home, and I can eat it whenever I want without spoiling my dinner... or I can, but that’s ok. 😂
We have super small tomatoes, but I’m sure you can adjust the recipe for the larger varieties available in your area.
5 small tomatoes
1 clove garlic
1 jalapeño, seeds removed (you can adjust to taste)
(Salt, lime juice, and cilantro will be added to taste at the end)
Put all ingredients (except salt, lime, and cilantro) in a pot of water. Bring water to boil and turn the heat off. Allow to cool a few minutes, then add the ingredients to a blender and blend to desired consistency. Add salt, lime, and cilantro to taste.
Easy, delicious, and guilt free (until you add chips) 😋😂 I add this salsa to lots of our family recipes. My kids (and hubby) don’t even realize the variety of #vegetables they are eating. 😂😋🙌🏼
